Dose

17.2-34.4mg of sennosides by mouth at bedtime as needed. Onset 6-12 hours. Limit to occasional use (not daily, not >7 days).

What to watch for

  • Bowel obstruction
  • Appendicitis suspected
  • Ibd flare

Not for children under 12.
