Dose
60mg by mouth every 4-6 hours, OR extended-release 120mg every 12 hours. Max 240mg/day. Take last dose by 4pm to avoid insomnia.
What to watch for
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Severe coronary artery disease
- Maoi use within 14 days
- Narrow angle glaucoma
Not recommended in pregnancy — check with a pharmacist or your clinician first.
Not for children under 12.
