Ibuprofen for Sore Throat

Dose
200-400mg by mouth every 6 hours with food. Max OTC dose is 1200mg/day. Take with the largest meal of the day if GI sensitive.
What to watch for
- Active gi bleed
- Severe renal impairment
- Third trimester pregnancy
- Nsaid allergy
Not recommended in pregnancy — check with a pharmacist or your clinician first.
Not for children under 6.
